What do the numbers 330/64 mean, and how do I measure?
The first number is the length, 330 mm (13"), the second the eye, 64 mm (2½"). To check an old heddle, stretch it gently between two sticks against a tape measure and read the full length. Don't measure a cut piece.
The long 64 mm eye is for ground heddles on damask looms and opphämta draw attachments: it lets the pattern shafts lift the thread without the ground shafts interfering.
Which colours, and what are they for?

One colour per shaft makes the threading readable from across the room and shows at once where a heddle belongs when you add or move one. A colour can also mark a border or a stripe in the warp.
330/64 is made in white. Colours are made for 150/12, 160/12, 205/12, 220/12, 237/12, 268/12, 280/12, 318/12, 330/12, 392/12 and Mirrix.
Colours on texsolv.seHow do I mount and thread them?

Slip the tied bundle of 100 onto the heddle bars, untie and distribute. Cut ends never need fusing. To thread: fold the warp end, push it through the rectangular eye with a finger and pull through. Easy right- or left-handed.
Made a mistake in the sequence? A new heddle can be inserted at the correction point without re-threading the shaft.
Which looms use 330/64?
Not sure? Measure an existing heddle, or look up your loom in the guide.
Can I wash them?
Yes, in lukewarm water with a mild detergent, preferably tied together in a laundry bag so they do not tangle. Let them dry at room temperature; do not iron or tumble-dry.
